After facing down some phony religious leaders, Jesus encountered a lawyer, that is, an expert in Jewish law, with whom He completely agreed. Unlike the hell-bound religious leaders who preceded him, he was, according to Jesus, not far from God’s kingdom.

When two of Jesus’ disciples asked to sit on His right and left in His coming kingdom, He seized this opportunity to teach all of His disciples about the way, as well as the cost, required to be great in His coming Kingdom. In God’s kingdom, the way up is down!
